Do you know about Newton Food Center? It is one of the most popular food joints in Singapore. It is located in Newton. When was the popular joint opened? It first came into full operation in 1971. In 2005, this food joint was closed since the Singapore government wanted to revamp the food joint. However, they suffered huge losses that were inevitable. There was a lower turnout at the new site. Away from that, they experienced a shortage of parking facilities.
Some of the motorists risked parking along the side of the roads. Road barriers were erected to prevent roadside parking. This encouraged the motorists to park at the parking lot. By the end of June 2006, stall owners had moved from the temporary food center to the original place.
